Stoneface App — privacy policy
Stoneface App is a camera game: a sound plays, your front camera watches you try to keep a straight face, and you get a rating. This policy explains everything the app does with data. Short version: there are no accounts, we don't know who you are, and your face never leaves your phone.Face data
Stoneface App uses Apple's ARKit face tracking (the TrueDepth camera) to read facial expression values — such as how much you are smiling — while a round is being played. This processing happens entirely on your device, in real time. Face geometry, depth data, expression values, and camera images are used frame-by-frame to compute a game score and are immediately discarded; they are never stored, never leave your device, and are never shared with anyone, including us.The only thing derived from face data that leaves your device is a single anonymous game score per round: a number between 0 and 1 describing how much you smiled. This number cannot be used to identify you or to reconstruct any facial feature. It is stored with a random anonymous identifier (no name, no account, no contact information) on our database host (Supabase) for as long as the app's ratings operate, and is deleted if the related sound is deleted. We never sell or share this data with third parties.Your videos
Round videos are recorded to your device's temporary storage so you can preview and optionally save or share them. They are deleted automatically when you leave the round unless you explicitly save or share them yourself. The app never uploads your videos anywhere.Sounds you upload
If you add a sound, its audio is stored on our database host so the app can play it back to you. Uploaded sounds are visible only to you unless we add them to the public library. You can request deletion of your uploads at any time using the contact below.Everything else
